The attractive ergonomic design of the Do-5 enables it to be integrated in the many and varied spaces where sound is required. Its acoustic design and rotating logo allow it to be installed horizontally or vertically. It uses a 5” speaker for bass notes and a silk dome tweeter for the high notes. The optional LT-5 toroidal transformer allows it to be used on 70-100V cables, respecting the frequency response between 40 Hz – 18 Khz with a drop of just 1.5 dB at 18 Khz. The core of the transformer has been sized for a better performance at low frequencies at maximum power, thus avoiding distortion at low frequencies that occurs through core saturation. For applications that require a better bass response, we recommend the Do-80S enclosure with a passive assembly, as well as the Do-110S in active assembly. For the purpose of optimising the frequency response and dynamics, Vieta recommends the VDC-1 or VDC-2 processors, thus controlling the maximum power applied to the system.
